To continue to ensure all of our employees operate safely in the office, warehouse, and out in the field, BDC Group has been working on revamping existing safety protocols through the development of a formal Safety Committee. The overarching goal of this committee is to ensure federal, state, and local safety compliance, promote a safe working environment for all and make certain that all employees get home safely every night.

The Safety Committee is comprised of members of our Virginia and Hiawatha offices and is led by our new Safety and Recruiting Coordinator Kelly Rowe. In her new role, she will develop, implement, and manage all safety programs for the organization while coordinating and directing the recruiting efforts for BDC Group. Kelly’s organizational skills and positive attitude will help the company as it continues its exponential growth while ensuring a safe working environment for all employees and partners of the company.

Members meet monthly to review key initiatives, discuss execution and implementation of safety improvements to promote a safe working environment. The group recently developed and implemented an all-encompassing Field Emergency Process binder that contains all of the necessary information and protocols for field operators in case of emergencies, as well as a handy emergency card that can be referenced quickly if needed. The Emergency Binder will help ensure that employees receive prompt treatment in the event of a medical emergency and/or vehicle/equipment accident. The safety committee is also creating and implementing additional employee training programs for OSHA, CPR, first aid, and more.

The Safety Committee consists of Kelly Rowe, Nelson Paz, Tammie Selzer, and Najaely Isidoro, as well as Bryon Schmidt, Candace Bruce, Dennis Bruce, and Rob Brown.
